Dance Residency Open Call 2026–2027

ART:DIS, in collaboration with P7:1SMA, invites dance and movement-based artists in Singapore who identify as D/deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent to apply for an upcoming Dance Residency running from August 2026 to April 2027.

This residency offers a dedicated space for artists to explore movement, deepen their artistic practice, and engage in collaborative creation.

Through a sustained process of research, experimentation, and exchange, participants will work alongside fellow artists to develop new approaches to dance-making and discover new possibilities for artistic expression.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
● Be based in Singapore
● Identify as D/deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent
● Have an existing dance or movement-based artistic practice

Residency Period
August 2026 – April 2027

Key Milestones:
● Enabling Lives Festival 2026 – End November 2026 (Developmental Sharing)
● Arts & Disability Forum 2027 – April 2027 (Final Presentation)

Application Deadline
17 July 2026, 11.59pm (SGT)

Application Requirements
Please submit:
● A short artist statement (maximum 300 words)
● A brief CV or artist biography
● A video (up to 5 minutes) showcasing your movement practice, artistic approach, and/or previous work
● Available days for rehearsal e.g. Mondays – Sundays
