UOL x ART:DIS Art Prize – Open Call

First launched in May 2023, the UOL X ART:DIS Art Prize is a platform to recognise talented artists with disabilities in Singapore. Returning for its second edition, the art competition aims to support artists in their creative journeys by showcasing their works to the public and opening opportunities to deepen their practice and gain market exposure.

The Art Prize broadens its reach this year and is now open to all artists with disabilities in Singapore with a total prize pool of $52,000 and the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition. All winning entries will be announced at an awards ceremony and exhibited at ION Art Gallery from 4 to 14 September 2025.

Prize Categories

Cash Prize – $5,000
Open to all individuals 19 and above

Additional awards in the following categories would also be awarded:

Senior Artist (60 years and above) Cash Prize – $3,000
Youth Artist (13–18 years old) Cash Prize – $3,000
Child Artist (6–12 years old) Cash Prize – $1,000
Partner Award (across all categories) Cash Prize – $4,000
Highly Commended (across all categories) Up to 10 artists at $800 each

All winners will also receive a one-year scholarship for art classes of their choice at ART:DIS.

 

Submission Process
  • Fill out the Application Form (page 6–9).
  • Submit up to 3 original artworks.
  • Attach the form at the back of each artwork.
  • Submit Application Forms and Physical Artworks to ART:DIS @ Changi City Point from 15–28 July 2025 (5:00pm). ART:DIS @ Changi is open Mon–Fri (1pm–5pm).

 

Guidelines & Eligibility
  • Applicants must enter the competition as individuals. Teamwork or collaboration is not allowed.
  • Artwork submitted to the competition must be original (i.e., not a reproduction of an original artwork by another artist), and not to be “touched up” by teachers/caregivers.
  • All submitted works must be the entrant’s original work completed in the last three years and have not been submitted in previous competitions organised by ART:DIS or other organisations.
  • Artworks of any theme may be submitted.
  • Artwork MUST BE two-dimensional on stretched canvas, paper or plywood, with a minimum size of 29.7 cm x 42.0 cm (A3 size) and a maximum of 180 cm x 180 cm.
  • Only 2D works are accepted in any medium including oil, poster, acrylic, watercolour, pen, pencil, pastels, charcoal, crayon, dye and digital illustrations. Photography and video works would not be accepted unless incorporated as part of an assemblage in the 2D work. If the 2D work is a mix-media form on canvas, paper or plywood, the dimension of the depth should not exceed more than 10cm.
  • Any digital artworks submitted must be printed in A3 size (29.7 cm x 42.0cm). Digital files will not be accepted. AI generated digital artworks will not be accepted.
  • 3D works would not be accepted, this includes installations and sculptures.
  • A maximum of 150-word synopsis is required to elaborate on the artwork.
